Student
Grievance Procedure
If a student has a
grievance or wishes to lodge a formal complaint, he or
she must make an appointment with the Vice
President of Operations. The Vice President of
Operations will advise the student regarding the
following procedure:

1) |
The student
should discuss their concern with the
appropriate instructor |
|
2) |
If the concern
is not resolved by the craft instructor, the
craft instructor shall refer it to the Vice
President of Operations |

3) |
The student
must make a written statement of concern
outlining his/her grievance; and then the
Vice President of Operations will meet with
the student and their instructor |
|
4) |
The Vice
President of Operations shall forward a
written statement of the grievance to the
School Director for review, and will
schedule an appointment for the student to
meet with the School Director if the
grievance has not been resolved |

5) |
If necessary,
the School Director will make the final
decision as to the resolution of the
grievance |
If a grievance is not
settled to the student’s satisfaction, as a final resort
he/she may contact the Institution’s accrediting body:
Ohio State Board of Career Colleges and Schools; 35 East
Gay Street, Suite 403; Columbus, Ohio 43215.
Loss of Personal
Property
The Institute does
not assume responsibility for the loss of books or other
personal property. A student will be issued a locker in
which they can store books, tools, and other personal
property. The Institution does not assume responsibility
for the loss of books, tools, or other personal property
a student may store in a locker.
