Program Description
The carpentry program provides an overview, history, and
all training needed to become a journeyperson in the
carpentry field. It provides in detail all of the
descriptions, explanations, and examples needed to be
proficient in the craft. The program progresses through
all key tasks in residential, commercial, and industrial
construction as well as any ancillary tasks that closely
compliment the trade. The program also teaches advanced
techniques and applications appropriate to the trade.
The carpentry curriculum is divided between exterior and
finish carpentry, and also covers additional subjects
needed to fully comprehend the interrelationship that
this craft has with other trades.

The Construction Technology program provides an
overview, history, and all training needed to become a
journeyperson in the Construction Technology field. It
provides in detail all of the descriptions,
explanations, and examples needed to be proficient in
the craft. The program progresses through all key tasks
in residential, commercial, and industrial construction
as well as any ancillary tasks that closely compliment
the trade. The program also teaches advanced techniques
and applications appropriate to the trade.
The Construction Technology program covers the
interaction of multiple trades on job sites, material
handling, storage and placement. Proper use of different
scaffolding, trenching safety and proper tool usage is
covered. Assisting Masonry, Concrete, Site development,
Utility and Carpentry Construction is emphasized.

tasks associated with the low voltage industry. The
program teaches advanced techniques and applications
appropriate to the trade.
